Publicly Traded Robotics Companies
Publicly traded robotics companies: the listed robot, lidar and automation makers in the HardwareMap index, plus incumbents, with exchanges and tickers.

Contents
Publicly traded robotics companies in the HardwareMap index number six as of REV 26.09: three robot makers, two lidar makers and one robot-vacuum maker, listed in Shanghai, Hong Kong and on Nasdaq. This page gives each one's exchange and ticker, then the long-listed incumbents a startup index does not cover. It sits under robotics companies to invest in.
Publicly traded robotics companies in the index, with tickers
Unitree Robotics (Hangzhou) is the newest and the largest story: it listed on the STAR Market in August 2026, selling quadrupeds such as the Go2 and humanoids such as the G1 and H1 at prices well below most Western rivals. UBTECH Robotics (Shenzhen) listed in Hong Kong in December 2023 as the first humanoid robot company on that exchange. Exyn Technologies (Philadelphia) builds autonomy software and robots that map mines and tunnels; its shares and warrants began trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market on 15 May 2026, in an offering that raised about $19.4 million gross (Exyn IPO closing, SEC filing).
Three more are robotics-adjacent. Roborock (Beijing) makes robot vacuums and robotic lawn mowers. Hesai Technology (Shanghai) and RoboSense (Shenzhen) make lidar, the depth sensor many robots and autonomous vehicles use to see. Hesai completed a dual primary listing in Hong Kong in September 2025 while keeping its Nasdaq ADSs (Hesai offering release).
Listed robotics incumbents outside the startup index
The index covers startups, so the older listed robot makers are not in the table above. The most cited ones:
Teradyne reports Universal Robots and MiR as its robotics segment. Symbotic listed in June 2022 through a SoftBank-sponsored SPAC. Serve Robotics closed its purchase of Diligent Robotics, maker of the Moxi hospital robot, in January 2026 (Serve announcement). One large name is changing hands: ABB agreed in October 2025 to sell its robotics division to SoftBank for $5.375 billion (SoftBank announcement), which takes it out of public markets as a standalone line once the deal closes.
Robotics companies heading to public markets
Agility Robotics (Salem, Oregon), maker of the Digit humanoid, agreed on 24 June 2026 to merge with Churchill Capital Corp XI. The combined company is expected to trade as AGLTest once the deal closes, subject to shareholder and SEC approval (Agility announcement). It was still pending at the time of writing. Pudu Robotics (Shenzhen), a service-robot maker, is preparing a Hong Kong listing according to its index record.
What to check in a robotics listing
A listing makes a robotics company's numbers public for the first time, and the filings are where the claims meet the accounts. Three things are worth reading before the press release.
- Revenue by product. Many robot makers earn most of their revenue from an older, simpler product while the headline robot is still in pilots. A filing splits them out.
- Units shipped and backlog. Orders, deployed fleets and contracted backlog are different numbers. Filings define which one is being quoted.
- Gross margin on hardware. Robots sold as a service can show recurring revenue while the hardware cost sits on the balance sheet. Our hardware unit economics note explains why that matters.
Small listings like Exyn's raise modest sums compared with private rounds in the same field. Listing size says little about the technology. How the index records listing status is set out in how the HardwareMap index works.
Private robotics companies, including the best-funded humanoid makers, are on the top robotics companies list. For listed drone makers, see publicly traded drone companies.
Frequently asked questions
Which robotics companies are publicly traded?
In the HardwareMap index: Unitree Robotics and Roborock on Shanghai's STAR Market, UBTECH Robotics and RoboSense in Hong Kong, Hesai on Nasdaq and Hong Kong, and Exyn Technologies on Nasdaq. Outside the startup index, long-listed robot makers include Intuitive Surgical, Teradyne, Symbotic and Fanuc. Agility Robotics has a SPAC merger pending.
Is Unitree Robotics publicly traded?
Yes. Unitree listed on the STAR Market of the Shanghai Stock Exchange in August 2026. Access to mainland A-shares from outside China runs through specific channels such as Stock Connect, which have their own eligibility rules. Check with your broker before assuming you can buy it.
Can I buy shares in Figure AI or other humanoid startups?
Not on a public exchange. Figure AI, Apptronik, 1X and Neura Robotics are private as of REV 26.09. Shares in private companies change hands only through funding rounds, employee sales and secondary platforms with accreditation rules. Agility Robotics is the exception in progress: it has agreed to list through a merger with Churchill Capital Corp XI.
Are robotics ETFs a way to own these companies?
Several exchange-traded funds track robotics and automation indexes. Their holdings tend to be large, long-listed companies: arm makers, surgical robot makers, sensor and chip suppliers, rather than recent listings. Read each fund's holdings list rather than its name, since the label robotics covers very different businesses.
Why are so many listed robotics companies Chinese?
Hong Kong and Shanghai's STAR Market have listed several robot and lidar makers that US startups of the same age would still keep private. STAR Market rules accept loss-making technology companies, and Chinese policy has pushed capital toward robotics. Four of the six listed robotics-related companies in the index are listed in mainland China or Hong Kong.
