The top 10 robotics companies in the world, by the HardwareMap rule, are the ten startups in the index with the strongest shipping record, ranked from 34 robotics entries as of REV 26.09. Ranking rule: product shipped to paying customers first; disclosed capital raised breaks ties. It is the top of the full top robotics companies list.

How the top 10 robotics companies are ranked

The plan for this page was to rank by shipped units. Most robotics startups do not publish unit counts, so a units ranking would be guesswork. The rule uses what can be checked instead.

  1. Shipping first. A product delivered to paying customers under a commercial contract, or sold at a public price. All ten here pass.
  2. Disclosed capital second. Inside the shipping tier, disclosed raise sets the order. Undisclosed raises sit at the bottom of the tier, never at an estimated figure.

Unit counts appear in the notes below where a company publishes them. The same rule runs the full top robotics companies list, where the next tier, paid pilots, starts at row 13.

The top 10 robotics companies in the world, one line each

  1. Agility Robotics (Salem, Oregon): Digit humanoids moving totes for GXO under a multi-year robots-as-a-service agreement signed in 2024 (Agility).
  2. Exotec (Wasquehal, France): Skypod, robots that climb racks to fetch bins for warehouse pickers.
  3. GreyOrange (Suwanee, Georgia): warehouse robots plus fulfillment orchestration software.
  4. Locus Robotics (Wilmington, Massachusetts): warehouse mobile robots, more than 20,000 across more than 360 sites by its own count in October 2026 (Locus Robotics). The largest fleet figure any startup in the index publishes.
  5. Dexterity (Redwood City): Mech, two arms on a mobile base that load and unload trucks.
  6. Unitree Robotics (Hangzhou): quadrupeds and humanoids sold at listed prices; listed on the STAR Market in August 2026.
  7. Standard Bots (Glen Cove, New York): AI-controlled industrial arms assembled in the US.
  8. Carbon Robotics (Seattle): the LaserWeeder, which burns weeds with lasers on vegetable farms.
  9. ANYbotics (Zurich): ANYmal legged robots for industrial inspection.
  10. Chef Robotics (San Francisco): food-assembly robots leased to food manufacturers as a service.

Five of the ten work in warehouses and logistics, where payback math is clearest; the warehouse robotics companies list goes deeper. Only Unitree is in China, and it sells mainly to research and developer buyers; Chinese humanoid robots covers its peers.

Who just missed the top 10

The next names down show how the rule bites.

UBTECH Robotics (Shenzhen) and Pudu Robotics (Shenzhen) both ship: UBTECH has sold service and education robots for years and is listed in Hong Kong, and Pudu sells delivery and cleaning robots to restaurants and venues. Both sit at rows 11 and 12 of the full list because the index has no disclosed total raise for either, and undisclosed raises sort to the bottom of their tier rather than being estimated.

Figure AI (San Jose) has the largest disclosed raise in the robotics category, more than every company in this top 10. It ranks 13th on the full list because its deployments are pilots, not a published commercial fleet. Neura Robotics and Apptronik follow it for the same reason. If any of them publishes a named commercial deployment, it moves into the shipping tier and, on capital, near the top of this page.

That is the point of a stated rule: a reader can see exactly what would change the order. The humanoid robots list applies the same rule to humanoid makers only.

Top robotics companies in the world, outside the startup index

"In the world" usually means the giants. The International Federation of Robotics counted 5 million industrial robots operating in factories in 2025 and more than 600,000 installed that year (IFR, 24 Sep 2026). Most are arms from incumbents such as Fanuc, Yaskawa, ABB Robotics and KUKA. Intuitive leads surgical robotics with its da Vinci systems. Those companies are decades old and are covered in publicly traded robotics companies, not in a startup index.

The ten above are the startups with the strongest public evidence of paying customers today. The ranking updates with each monthly REV, and status changes are marked here first.

Frequently asked questions

Who are the top 10 robotics companies in the world?

Among startups in the HardwareMap index, ranked by shipped product then disclosed capital: Agility Robotics, Exotec, GreyOrange, Locus Robotics, Dexterity, Unitree Robotics, Standard Bots, Carbon Robotics, ANYbotics and Chef Robotics. By revenue and installed base, the largest robot makers overall are incumbents such as Fanuc, Yaskawa, ABB Robotics, KUKA and Intuitive, which a startup index does not list.

Why is Figure AI not in the top 10?

Figure AI has the largest disclosed raise in the robotics category of the index, but this ranking puts shipping evidence first. Figure has run pilots, including at BMW's Spartanburg plant, and has not published a fleet deployment at scale, so it sits in the paid-pilot tier with Neura Robotics, Apptronik and others. It would rank first on a money-only list.

What are the biggest robotics companies in the world?

By installed base and revenue, the biggest are industrial arm makers such as Fanuc, Yaskawa, ABB Robotics and KUKA, and surgical robot maker Intuitive. Their robots make up most of the 5 million industrial robots the International Federation of Robotics counted in factories worldwide in 2025. They are decades old, so a startup index does not list them.

Are any of the top 10 robotics companies public?

Unitree Robotics listed on Shanghai's STAR Market in August 2026. Agility Robotics has agreed to go public through a SPAC merger expected in late 2026. The other eight on this list are private as of REV 26.09. Our list of publicly traded robotics companies covers listed robot makers, including incumbents, in more detail.
